A special edition of Stories of Cancer and Hope was gifted to all particpants of Tour de 4
Shandon Publishing Ltd were very pleased to gift copies of our book, Stories of Cancer and Hope, to all 3,500 participants at this years Tour De 4 in Glasgow.
The event was the brainchild of Sir Chris and Lady Sarra Hoy and celebrated its second year. Shandon Publishing Ltd, based in Edinburgh, worked with the Tour De 4 team to ensure all cyclists had a copy of Stories of Cancer and Hope, which features 43 personal stories to help people to feel less alone with cancer and an introduction from Sir Chris.
The three directors of Shandon Publishing were all involved in the creation of the book, which features the stories of two directors, Kevin Donaghy and Daniel Wood, who were both diagnosed with advance stage Melanoma and received treatment during Covid. To date there are 14,000 copies in circulation, with all of the 27 UK Maggie’s cancer centres having copies for visitors and all royalties from sales of the book also go to Maggie’s.
Shandon Publishing are currently working on their next titles, which again will help people affected by a life changing diagnosis and plan to work with charities.
