Shandon Publishing Ltd is a new social enterprise publishing company, based in Edinburgh.
Setup in April 2025 to expand on the work we have done over the past two years, initially producing a book to help people diagnosed with cancer with 42 stories of hope whilst donating royalties to both Maggie’s and other cancer charities.
Our first title is Stories of Cancer and Hope by Shandon Publishing Director, Kevin Donaghy.
At at least £1 from the sale of each book goes to Maggie's.

Ensuring they don’t feel alone
We are a social enterprise publishing company based in Shandon, Edinburgh, established in April 2025 and our primary goal is to publish titles which share lived experiences of people directly and indirectly affected by physical and mental health conditions, in order to help others not to feel alone.
Our first title, Stories of Cancer and Hope was initially provided to over 90 cancer charities and treatment centres in the UK and Ireland, with 7,500 copies donated thanks to sponsorship, and it has been on sale in physical and digital format since July 2024. Through sales of this book we have donated royalties to Maggies Cancer Centres and have financially supported other cancer charities throughout the UK including Cancer Card, House of Hope, Breast Cancer Now, Melanoma Focus, Cancer Dundee, Cancer Research UK and Treatment Bag.
Our future titles will focus on sharing lived experiences of physical and mental health condition with the same aim of ensuring people who read our books don't feel alone.
